Incorporation of a French company and payment of share capital
The amounts constitutive of the share capital of a company must be deposited with a French bank, a notary or with the Caisse des Dépôts and Consignations.
The banks are not obliged to accept such a deposit. In the event that a bank refuses to open an account for the deposit of a company’s share capital, competing banks should be solicited. In all events, the deposit of the share capital may always be made with the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations.
The deposit of the share capital must be accompanied by a list of the company shareholders indicating their identity, the number of shares subscribed and the amount of share capital paid.
The deposited amount is blocked until the completion of the registration procedure. Following the registration of the company, the deposited amount of share capital may be used by the company.
