Human anatomical parts intended for abandonment must be cremated. Cremation takes place in a crematorium authorised in accordance with
article L. 2223-40of the General Local Authorities Code and whose manager holds the authorisation provided for in
article L. 2223-41of this Code. The provisions of
articles R. 2213-34to R. 2213-39 of the General Local Authorities Code do not apply to them. Cremation takes place outside the crematorium's public opening hours. Ashes resulting from the cremation of anatomical parts of human origin may be collected and processed by municipalities and groups of municipalities under the conditions defined in
article L. 2224-14of the General Local Authorities Code.
