Any owner may oblige his neighbour to demarcate their adjoining properties. The demarcation is carried out at joint expense.
In the absence of a descendant and an undivorced surviving spouse, gifts by inter vivos deeds or wills may exhaust all assets.
Where it has failed to complete the formalities incumbent upon it, the State may be ordered to pay damages to the heirs, if any.
The gift inter vivos may include only the present property of the donor; if it includes future property, it will be void in this respect.
Where the bequest is of an indeterminate thing, the heir is not obliged to give it of the best quality, nor may he offer it of the worst.
A will may not be made in the same deed by two or more persons either for the benefit of a third party or as a reciprocal or mutual disposition.
In cases determined by law, the creditor may act directly in payment of his claim against a debtor of his debtor.
Restitution is subject to the rules laid down in articles 1352 to 1352-9.It may be reduced if the payment is the result of fault.
Third parties must respect the legal situation created by the contract. They may rely on it in particular to provide proof of a fact.
Tenants may not be evicted until they have been paid by the landlord or, failing that, by the new purchaser, the damages explained above.
