The creditor is entitled to the performance of the obligation; he may compel the debtor to do so under the conditions laid down by law.
Absolute nullity may be requested by any person justifying an interest, as well as by the public prosecutor. It cannot be covered by confirmation of the contract.
It may be substituted for writing by judicial confession, decisive oath or prima facie evidence in writing corroborated by another means of proof.
Lapse terminates the contract. It may give rise to restitution under the conditions set out in articles 1352 to 1352-9.

The decisions of the Paris Sentence Enforcement Court provided for in this section may be appealed in accordance with the second paragraph of Article 712-1.
